"Money well spent"
Modern hotel with nice clean rooms, speedy wifi. No frills, but the essentials are good, comfortable bed. Aircon a bit noisy, the power point by the bed was not accessible with my lead as the the existent chord blocked the adjacent power outlet. The only available outlet was behind the fridge. Did not have breakfast included so would not know about the quality. The hotel is very central the main pedestrian shopping street just around the corner, but a 15-20 min walk from the conventions centre.
"Great location "
We stayed at Ibis recently when we visited Adelaide for Womadelaide ... great location and within walking distances to the venue and also to restaurants and shops near by. The rooms were neat and service at the front counter was good. We dined in one night but the food was a little average ... nice lounge and dining area though.., the rooms are small but all we needed. The facilities were contemporary and clean.
Staying for 6 nights, room with breakfast. Found it boring for breakfast, each and every menu was exactly the same everyday. Come on, be creative. After returning home I was shocked to get AUD30 credit card charged without any explanation, not stated during checked out, none in the checked out bill.
"For an overnight business trip where I want comfort at the right price, Ibis hits the spot"
I've given up trying to find a good hotel at a good price in Adelaide, having experimented with many of the options on our corporate travel list - The Playford, the Hilton, Mantra Hindmarsh Square, Stamford Plaza, and Quest. Each of them offers some good points, and some niggles, so now, if it's just a single night stay, I just head straight to book the Ibis, as I know that I'm going to get a consistent quality room, consistent bathroom and service, and the breakfast will be good enough for me. It's not luxurious, but it is familiar and very, very consistent, whereas in many of the others I've found so many inconsistent experiences that I'm never quite sure whether I'm going to have a good stay or not. +ves: Pricing normally good, quick checkin\out, good breakfast and good location -ves: This is not a luxury hotel - I don't think I'd stay here for a get away weekend :)
My partner and I recently travelled to ADELE-aide to attend a concert along with 69 998 others. The Ibis Adelaide is a new, well equipped hotel right in the centre of the city. It is close to all amenities and transport. When we stayed, it was high-demand, and the room averaged $250.00 plus per night which is top dollar for this type of establishment. The downside of the hotel is that the rooms are very small, barely enough space for two adults and their luggage. There is no king-size bed option, as offered in other Ibis hotels, due to the small room dimensions is my guess. Another big deficit was the lack of room-service. A small menu was available 24/7, but it operated on what the hotel called a 'click and collect' basis ie. you order it and then collect it from the lobby. Again, other Ibis hotels provide proper room-service and not this inferior product. At $250.00/night and a four star rating, I feel the Ibis Adelaide needs to lift its game in this regard. The staff were friendly, obliging and accommodated a late check out request at no further expense. This was appreciated given the change in our flight schedule.
