"Nice budget hotel"
We chose this hotel as we wanted to experience the Disney stay and the extra magic hours that we get in the theme parks staying in a Disney property. The hotel was Ok and nothing extraordinary about the rooms. We took 2 queen size bed room which was comfortable for our family of 4. Outside ambience was good, all themed across the sports and you have a nearby pool and End Zone food court. The room was a little smelly (like the smell of a hospital room). The other lacking part is that they don't provide microwave in the rooms, though there was a mini refrigerator in the room. If you want to get extra magic hours, complimentary shuttle to theme parks and complimentary airport transfers then staying in Disney resort is the best option. One thing that front desk can tell the guests is that they should check Hall of Fame board inside the lobby area often as it keeps showing the guests name with some achievement of the sports. We were not knowing about this and by chance only we saw our daughter's name displayed on the Hall of Fame screen. The other thing that they can tell people is about the coffee mug that we can purchase from food court and keep refilling it with coffee/cold drink in the resort or Disney park for the length of the duration of our stay. They should tell about the popcorn bucket also which is a refillable option at $1 in the theme parks during your visit. We missed all these options and only came to know from some fellow guest on our last day of the visit.
"Good for just sleeping"
If you are looking for budget accommodations, this will fit the bill. The rooms and beds are small, but clean. The biggest issue we had (and have with ALL the value resorts) is the air conditioning vents blow directly on the beds, and cause the room to be way too cold. The decor is super cute, even if you aren't into sports. The pool is ok, but not huge or great. The water was warm and well heated for March.
"Quality Service at Nice Hotel"
We chose this hotel for the sports theme, as we have two boys. It did not disappoint. They got a kick out of the huge football helmets, surf boards, etc. The check in area has things to help keep the kids busy while you are actually checking in, which is a nice feature. The rooms themselves are pretty standard. They were clean and offered a little more in the way of storage space (bigger closet with shelf, hooks on the wall) than other hotel rooms of a similar size that I have stayed in. I also liked that the bathroom/sink/closet area was blocked off with a curtain, as I could get ready if someone was in the bathroom or up watching TV (something that gets tricky as a mom when you have two boys!). It got a little loud on our last couple of nights because a huge family blocked off a bunch of rooms, and they were outside talking and laughing. It wasn't terrible, and that is no fault of the hotel itself (just the large group who didn't take into consideration that others were trying to sleep!). The service at the hotel was great. This was our first Disney trip, and I had a lot of questions. The employees were very friendly and helpful, and some went above and beyond to help us with a few travel hiccups. The only reason I did not give this hotel 5 stars was the bus service was a little lacking. At one point we waited for an hour for a bus to arrive at Hollywood Studios to get us back to our hotel. Most often when we were waiting at a park our line was the longest, and we would watch multiple buses show for other hotels (including the other All Star Resorts) while we waited for one to arrive. We eventually resorted to paying for cabs on several occasions because we couldn't count on the bus to run every 20 minutes (as we were told) and get us where we needed to be on time. Overall we were satisfied with our stay, but we would probably check into a different hotel if we returned because of the bus service.
"Good Hotel for the money on Disney property"
We booked this hotel last minute during March break. We always take our own camper to Fort Wilderness so this was the first time we would book into a Disney hotel. This was literally the last affordable place. Sports decor is not my thing but it was on Disney property so why not. Check in was smooth. We arrived just past 3:00 pm and waited for no more than 15 minutes at most. Pool: Very nice. I liked the shape and size of the pool. Nice ambiance in the surf's up section. I liked the surfing theme. Pool was well heated which was also nice. No slide or hot tub though. I didn't mind as no one in our party uses them. Rooms: We faced the garden in the touchdown section. This area was nice and quiet. We were also pretty close to parking, lobby, restaurant and pool. The rooms could use an update, especially the carpets are looking worn and tired. Beds were ok, we were so tired at the end of the day we could have slept on anything really. No coffee maker (we brought our own keurig and kettle for tea) and mini fridge is available. Housekeeping: came to clean earlier in the morning and beds were made nicely and bathrooms cleaned. One piece of advice for them is to vacuum more than just the middle path of the floor and also get rid of the dust closer to the baseboards. The TV remote was filthy cleaned with lysol wipes. Common areas were very clean and well maintained. Nice mixture of greenery and decor. I'm rating cleanliness a 3 only because of the carpets in the rooms. Around the grounds is very clean and well maintained to Disney standards. Restaurant: We didn't really eat there. I'm not a fan of the food courts in any of the hotels that have them. We just had our own food in the morning and ventured out to try foods in other places like Disney Springs later on in the day. When we were there, there were cheer leading competitions and various school trips but we weren't bothered by them at all. I liked that you could take walks through the Music and All Star Movies resorts. We ended up enjoying our stay at the All Star Sports very much. Comparing these value resorts to Moderates and Deluxe is like comparing apples to oranges both in price and amenities. I would stay here again.
"Nice, clean place to sleep"
This is a value resort at Disney. It isn't a Marriott. The room is small but functional. All we did there was sleep. The rest of the time was at one of the parks. The best perk is park and use the Disney bus system. But because you are at the value resort you aren't at the top of the priority list for picking up.
