"Stayed for Business"
The hotel is proximate to federal buildings (court, IRS, etc.) The restaurant had a nice menu with well prepared entrees. Got finished late one night and had to use room service since the restaurant kitchen closes at 10:00. The service was about 45 minutes and the sandwich and fries were well prepared. The room service menu is a little narrow (about 8 items). All staff were pleasant, bell service and front desk were great. Garage is valet parking but I did not use the in/out service.
I am very surprised by how disappointed I am since other reviews are so glowing. When I arrived they upgraded me to a park view and a bathtub. This bathtub is literally a normal apartment bathtub and nothing special. The remote had some sort of cream on it which was disgusting. No water was provided which is a no-no in my opinion for the price I paid for a midweek stay during a non-peak time. I drank the water from the mini bar and I had to call to have them replace it since no one checked. At 2:45am I was woken up by the person who took the breakfast order outside my door by their extremely loud music. I asked for breakfast to arrive as close to 7am as possible and they arrived closer to 7:30am when I need to leave by a certain time. Breakfast on my first day arrived cold. I will not be staying here again and I hope for the price the hotel considers paying more attention to the cleanliness and needs of their guests. I also highly recommend providing complimentary water for your guests each night.
"A very subpar stay"
I stayed here for two nights for a friend's wedding a few weekends ago. I found this hotel to be overpriced, considering my experience. Where to begin? We had to call down to the front desk to receive a key for our mini-bar. Why should we even have to obtain a key? If a 80% markup isn't enough to dissuade people to buy from the minibar, locking the door certainly will. The doormen consistently NEVER opened the front door to the hotel. It was kind of a joke as to why they were even there to begin with, as they literally stood next to the door and just starred at people walking in and out. The music from the "club" was so loud at night that we could hear it in our bedroom, 2 floors below the club. Gift bags for the wedding party were left on the door handles of each wedding guest's room. Well, my bag had an opened water bottle, half drank in it. I cant assume it was hotel staff, but in general, someone in this hotel thought that was ok. We only had 2 full sized towels in our bathroom, and had to ask for more. For a room with a king sized bed at a "luxury" hotel, I believe the minimum full sized towels should be 4! Especially in this case because the shower didnt have a door, so when you took a shower, the entire bathroom got wet and you then had to use said towel to mop the floor up. Honestly, I'm disgusted with my stay here and wasted over $500 for two nights.
The staff were absolutely tremendous as I messed up my booking. Hotel room was right next to Liberty hall. The hotel was great, the food nice and the staff were top notch. Loved my stay and my wife and I would go again. Would recommend it to anyone.
"Keep Roshid Happy!"
I had a wonderful stay here at the hotel for St. Patrick's Day. A special shout out to Roshid the concierge for making us feel so welcome and for the champagne. Also Alex the front desk agent and Rob the bellman. You have a wonderful team of employees here that make your stay one of a kind.
