This is our 2nd consecutive year here. We stayed in the gold floor and the room and staff was amazing. Beautiful hotel and very convenient since it's a ski in/ski out. The staff really knows how to treat their guests. Fantastic experience. Will keep going back.
"Impeccable attention to detail"
Flawless operation from the moment you arrive and hand your car keys to the valet, to the moment they have loaded your car, including your skis and hand back your keys when you leave. If you ask for extra robes they are delivered within minutes...and then the next day the extras will be replaced in your room. Great staff in every area, from front desk, restaurants, housekeeping, fitness center and ski valet. Everyone is on their game at this place, 24/7. Thank you for a great stay and already looking forward to next season.
" Long weekend "
We booked the suite with the full kitchen. The space was comfortable for 3 and had a nice view of the pool area. I am not usually a fan of a room off the lobby, but it was ok. Please note this hotel allows dogs of every size everywhere. The internet was poor; I was charged $ 16 day and could not get internet in the room. The charge was removed. I also had to have them remove two meals that were charged to my room in error. Check your bill! Loved the pool. The room was ok for the price. The people and the service were great. The location can not be beat. We were comfortable, but not pampered.
"Fairmont no more! Needs a Face Lift and can't handle being busy."
This is our second visit to Fairmont Tremblant this year, and probably 10th in the last 15 years. It's a decent place to stay mostly because of location to the slope but this place is not a luxury hotel and the room rate of $600 CAD per night for a simple king bedded room with a view of a mountain instead of the driveway is not justified. The resort is in need of some updating. There are only 3 elevators which break down regularly and there is often a long line just to get up to your room. The rooms are standard, nothing special and need to be redecorated. Beds are comfortable and bathrooms are adequately equipped. Housekeeping is OK, you need to ask for things you need extra or run out. Room has a tea kettle, coffee machine and mini fridge. This hotel is situated slope-side, ski-in / -out with ski valet and rental on-site with excellent service! Pools and Jacuzzi's are nice, both indoor and outdoor. It gets busy in the late afternoons but it is fun to hang out and grab a drink after a long day of skiing. I found the temperature of outdoor pool to be uncomfortably hot this time, granted the weather was not that chilly - hovering just above freezing. Not that many people chilling in the outdoor pool, wondering if it is because it was too hot? We always ask for a late check-out so kids can stay in ski school the whole day but this time it was denied, even when I offered to pay (they used to have a $100 CAD checkout at 4 pm option). Now the kicker - checkout is noon and we were graciously given a "courtesy" late checkout till 12:30 because "the hotel was very busy and they needed to clean the rooms quickly for arriving guests". We ended up staying in the room till 1:45 - all packed up and ready to leave on the moment's notice if a maid had come to clean the room... yep, you guessed it - nobody showed up to urgently clean the room. My friends who were staying an extra day in the similar room were denied late checkout as well, they ended up staying in the room till 2 pm with no one bothering them. Not sure if we will be back again, may try out the Westin for similar experience. Reason being only ski valet and on-site ski rental do not justify the exuberant room rates - double every other hotel in the village (probably except Westin) as the hotel has nothing else to offer - I do not need $59 CAD dinner buffet with plenty of other dining options available either walking distance or 10 minute drive, outrageously expensive SPA, lunch counter service offering $12 CAD cup of soup or a $4 CAD plain croissant, where they attempt to ask for a tip as well. Stayed February 2017, traveled with family.
"Great Ski vacation"
Stayed four nights in mid-February. Weather was great as were the ski conditions. Mountain was easy to navigate with lots of options for skill level. Given it was a school break, hotel was very crowded starting Friday and we really enjoyed being on the 7th Floor (Gold level). Very nice to retreat to the cozy lounge with fireplace and enjoy the snacks and drinks away from the crowds. Staff were exceptional and would like to give a shout out to Pascal who took really good care of us. Continental breakfast was served every morning and started our day off well. Ski in/Ski out location of hotel was ideal as was the ski valet service. Our ski passes gave us ability to ski first tracks and access to sledding at night. Pools/hot tubs were a nice treat afterwards, even though they got crowded once slopes closed in late afternoon. Lots of great restaurant options within walking distance of hotel - we needed reservations given how busy the weekend was. Our room had a canopy bed, two nice chairs for lounging and we had a great mountain view. 7th floor was very relaxing and quiet and would always reserve on this floor in the future. We will definitely be back!
