Over Harbour Lights Inn

"Great breakfasts and Friendly Host"
The inn is a wonderful old house with lots of character. It has nice views of the harbour and a rear entrance off the parking area. Parking is somewhat limited, but there is a small parking area across the road. The breakfasts were made to order and well made. The room was comfortable and quiet. The host was knowledgeable and friendly.
Stayed two nights in this quaint inn. Very private room. We were on the top floor and had a fantastic view of the bay. Belinda takes very good care of the visitors and is on site during the night if problems arise. Easy walk to restaurants. And of course a hearty breakfast is included.
"Good location facing the waterfront, heritage building"
This is a quaint B&B in an old house. This means there are lots of stairs, both into the house from the parking lot and within the house itself. We had room 3 on the 2nd floor, which had two single beds. It was extremely small for two people with luggage. There was an en-suite; no fridge, however. I was told that the place did have some lovely large rooms, but these would have had to be reserved months in advance. The breakfast room is cozy. Breakfast is cereal, eggs, toast, muffins, juice, tea, coffee - no pancakes, sausages or bacon on offer. The manager (owner?) is very friendly and willing to answer any questions about travelling in the area.
"Not as good as it looks on line"
We had a very small top floor corner room facing the harbour but also the road. The wall is up against the wall that has a neighbours bathroom against it and all the pipeworks can be heard. Because of the bed placing there was only one night table and the window bench did not have a cushion to sit on so it was not practical. The room was clean and freshly painted. The parking is a bit of a problem. No frill breakfast and no maps or tourist info available apart from what Melinda can tell you. Quite disappointed.
"Friendly and in a great location"
We spent 5 nights at this inn. I think we also were in #3, but it was plenty big enough for us and our luggage! The breakfasts were very complete - the eggs cooked to our specification when we were ready! Melinda does an excellent job of maintaining a clean and efficiently run inn as the guests come and go each day. She was also an excellent resource for suggestions on trails to walk and rides to take as we explored the north and south islands of Twillingate! We greatly enjoyed the conversations we had with other guests, but also enjoyed being able to get away from people on the quiet trails overlooking the ocean and Notre Dame Bay. An unforgettable holiday!
